CONCEPT

The landscape lighting of the Nodeul Island which is floating on the middle of the Han river reminds the image of rafts which are cleaving through the water. It expresses the sensation of speed on the calm river. Multi-purpose image poles installed on the bank allow people to enjoy changes of trees and plants by seasons. It draws visual excitement of night landscape from not only Seoul citizens but also domestic and overseas visitors

Display plan

1) Inclined plane of bank
- As floodlight with blue filter is projected from about 6-10m of the inclined plane of the cement bank. When flooded, the light is contrasted with the flow of the river. It looks like the island is being washed away due to optical illusion. If it is seen from a higher place, it looks like a shape of ship floating on the water with blue band on the circumference of the island.
2) On the bank
- In order to make the shape of the island clear and stabilized, multi-purpose image poles are installed. It not only draws visual pleasure and excitement, and the high color rendition discharge lamps project the upper side of trees to guide nature-friendly image. New scenes changed through four seasons are displayed.
